Most prop traders should stay on demo. Many challenges (and some funded accounts) use demo-type cTrader accounts. A paid subscription on your demo Cwebhook login is the correct setup there — you do not transfer to live unless the firm gives you a genuine live broker account.

When a transfer is needed

Demo and live Cwebhook accounts are permanently separate. Paying while logged into demo only activates that demo login. It does not unlock a different live broker account on the same username.

If you already paid on demo and now have a true live cTrader account, you do not need to buy again. Support can transfer your existing FastSpring subscription to a new live Cwebhook account.

Step 1 — Open a live Cwebhook account

  1. Go to Open Live Account.
  2. On the cTrader consent screen, tick exactly one live broker account (do not select demo and live together).
  3. Save the new username, password, and webhook key — they are different from your demo login.

Step 2 — Contact support to transfer the subscription

Email support with:

  • Your demo Cwebhook username (the account you paid on)
  • Your new live Cwebhook username
  • The email used for the FastSpring purchase (if you have it)

Ask them to transfer your subscription from the demo account to the live account.

What happens next

  • Support moves your existing FastSpring subscription to the live username.
  • Your live account becomes a subscriber (same plan and renewal schedule).
  • The demo account loses subscriber access (it may still work as a normal demo within any remaining trial window).
  • You keep using the live login and the live webhook key for TradingView alerts.
  • Future renewals and cancellations stay on the same FastSpring subscription — no second charge for the transfer.

What you should not do

  • Do not transfer just because you “passed a challenge” if the funded account is still demo-type — stay on demo Cwebhook.
  • Do not try to reauthorise your demo account with a live broker account — that will fail.
  • Do not cancel and repurchase in FastSpring just to switch to live (unless support asks you to).
  • Do not put your demo webhook key into live TradingView alerts after the transfer.
